It's in the finger lakes. We went there because my parents are from that area and we love it. It's great for doing winery tours if you're into that. Also, it looks like there are a lot of parks in the Finger Lakes region that have gorgeous water falls and great hiking trails. Check out this site: http://nysparks.state.ny.us/parks/ We're going to Hickory Run State Park (in PA) in August, which is supposed to be one of the best ones in PA.
