HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
and welcome to a new and improved Spoon & Tamago. Not only do we have a new look and feel, but I’ll be adding some new features to the blog such as special editions. So look for those in the coming days. In the meanwhile, I’d like to start off the new year by doing a recap of some of my favorite things from 2007. I hope to show you some things you have seen as well as some things you may have missed!

Favorite Things Of 2007:
Hotel Marqués de Riscal
This hotel was actually completed in late 2006 but it wasn’t until 2007 when people began to talk. The architect? …you guessed it; Frank Gehry.
Gehry has returned to his love of titanium in this piece, somehow mirroring, or even creating a sequel to his Guggenheim Bilbao. I’m not sure what the locals think of this brash structure in the middle of their village. I happen to think it fits right in.
