Japanese beverage maker Kirin launched a “Home Tap” service that brings this beautifully-designed, compact kegerator into the home. Home kegerators have never been appealing to me because they’re either too bulky, too ugly, or both. This is neither.

The overall art design (logo, packaging, etc.) is the work of Shogo Kishino while the actual product design was handled by Yota Kakuda. Beautiful teamwork!

For 6900 yen (about $63 USD), Kirin will deliver two 1-liter kegs to your home twice a month so you can pour a nice, cold draft beer in the comfort of your home whenever you want. The service was reportedly so popular that the company had to close registration because they couldn’t keep up with demand. And over 15,000 people have already requested to be notified when registration is open again.
