minä perhonen arkistot

Today’s interior inspiration comes from minä perhonen’s latest shop, arkistot, which opened its doors just a couple weeks ago in Kyoto. According to the website, arkistot means archival in Finnish, which sets the stage for their archival-themed clothing, accessories, and stationary. I especially like that shovel as coat hanger! It looks like something you would see in anthropologie.

  3. minä perhonen have a foothold in the Netherlands now – a store called Tamago, would you believe, designed by Minagawa, and full of mina clothes and furnishing, with his wife Naho Iino’s blown glass, and a small amount of European stuff; owned by Simon Talsma. Also, there is an exhibition of minä perhonen at the Texteil Musem in Tilberg running until the end of February.
you can see pics of the shop at my blog if you want, here – http://janewheeler.co.uk/blog/2009/11/05/amsterdam-two-tamago/
