The Kaws:Holiday moving art installation began in Taipei back in May. Since then, his iconic 40-metre-long Companion sculpture has toured Seoul and Hong Kong and has now landed in Japan, at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

The traveling Companion sculpture has been installed amidst the backdrop of Mount Fuji, setting up at Fujinomiya’s Fumotoppara Camping Ground in Shizuoka. Several lucky campers who participated in a raffle will be able to camp outside, next to the sculpture.
The sculpture will be up from July 18 – July 24, 2019. To mark the Japanese leg of KAWS:HOLIDAY, a whole bunch of merch including figurines, kokeshi dolls, and ceramic plates will be made available at the Ding Dong Takuhaibin online store.

Hi Jennifer. It looks like you need to make a reservation, even if you don’t plan to camp. This is the website: https://fumotoppara.net/
And there are English instructions to navigate the website here: https://s3.ap-northeast-1.amazonaws.com/air-kaws-jp2019/public/img/FMTP-Reservation-STEPS_V2.pdf
