Eisuke Tachikawa Develops Ingenious Template to Create DIY Face Shields

The power of design has been on full display recently as designers and artists respond to the global pandemic with creative means of coping. One of those is designer Eisuke Tachikawa, who has developed a super-easy way to create a face shield from a clear plastic folder.

Check out the video above. Simply print out the free template and insert into a clear plastic folder. Then cut along the lines and that’s it. The entire process can be completed in just about 1 minute.

  1. Wonderful.
    Thanks for sharing.
It is great to see so many heads coming together in this hour of need.

On a larger scale, I am amazed at the technology in the world of laser cutting for personal protective equipment. Companies such as Ponoko (San Francisco) are certainly stepping up to the plate.
